Character Study

I have found and love this style from donghua 天官赐福 (Tian Guan Ci Fu) Heaven's Official Blessing

The character Xie Lian is such a beautiful character. You can see how gentle and kind he is just from his design

I also love how his robes and hair flow in the wind. I long to be able to animate like that one day!

So I did a mini character study of him, taking from scenes from the animation and trying to draw them

I love how animation can take a really complex character and have a cute version of them. Simple yet still beautiful!
